Presentation/Graphics Progress
Hey all. Today's update will be on the shorter side, showcasing some of the progress I've made towards designing custom sprite assests for the final version of Offworld Defender. There are also a couple other minor improvements I'll talk about as well.
New Tower Sprites
After having used my "prototype" tower graphics for a while now, it was quite refreshing to give them a little touch up and make them look more in-touch with the rest of the game. These are the new tower sprites, including the base as a seperate sprite (as always, these are subject to change).

Button Tooltips and Text
This update adds tooltips and text to the buttons for building towers, so that you can now tell what they are, how much they cost, and what the stats of each tower are. In the future these tooltips will also show upgrade modifiers and the like. The tooltips were rather cumbersome to implement (I had some problem getting them to appear in the right spots), but this tutorial by Code Monkey helped greatly.
So that does it for this small update about the graphics and presentation overhaul. Know that much more of this is currently in the works. I'm excited to showcase the new sprites for enemies and the player in the next update.
